Headteacher’s Welcome

Welcome to Pendeen and to our wonderful village school in the far west of Cornwall where we enjoy working in close partnership with families and the wider community, to the benefit of all.

At Pendeen School we believe that all children are unique individuals with a right to a safe, stimulating and happy learning environment.

An inclusive environment which offers care and acceptance with respect for everyone, and ensures equal opportunities regardless of social background, culture, race, gender or ability.

Our aim is to provide not only a creative and stimulating curriculum, but also a broad and challenging curriculum, to ensure that all our pupils receive the widest educational opportunities of the highest quality.

Above all, a curriculum that enables all children to develop a sense of high self-esteem in order to meet the challenge of not only attaining high academic achievement but also of pursuing high personal aspirations in all they do. Hence our aim: ‘to be outstanding in all we do’.

To this end, our dedicated team of staff strive to bring learning ‘truly alive’ through their use of the stunning local landscape, and the rich cultural heritage, which surrounds us.

Come and see us! Join us on our learning journey !
We welcome visits to the school, and we look forward to meeting you.
