Headteacher’s Welcome

Welcome to the Pendeen School’s website and to our wonderful village school. Thank you for your interest in our school and we hope that you find the information contained in it useful.

At Pendeen School we strive to ensure that all our children active their potential irrespective of their ability and background. We fully endorse equality of opportunity and inclusivity, catering for all needs and disabilities regardless of social background, culture, race, gender or ability. We pride ourselves in working closely with parents, carers and their families and the local community to ensure all our children have the best possible start to their education and to prepare them for secondary schooling. Please view the March 2017 Ofsted inspection for the school contained in the Information for parents tab.

Here a Pendeen School we believe that all of our children are unique and have a right to a happy, safe and stimulating environment in which to learn. At the most recent Ofsted inspection parents commented on how pleased they were with the school and the pace with which it was developing and meeting the children's needs.

We liaise frequently with our partners in education locally and also across the county of Cornwall through the Truro and Penwith Academy Trust as an academy school.

Our aim is to provide not only a creative and stimulating curriculum, but also a broad and challenging curriculum, to ensure that all our pupils receive the widest educational opportunities of the highest quality. Above all, a curriculum that enables all children to develop a sense of high self-esteem in order to meet the challenge of not only attaining high academic achievement but also of pursuing high personal aspirations in all they do. Hence our aim: ‘to be outstanding in all we do’.

Come and see us! Join us on our learning journey! We welcome visits to the school, and we look forward to meeting you.
