Our school is in the village of Pendeen, located approximately seven miles west of Penzance and East of Lands End. We are minutes from the beautiful Penwith coastline and very close to Geevor and Botallack mines. You can see the sea from our playground! We are proud of our Cornish heritage and celebrate and use our local cultural capital as often as we can. Our children are taught in Kynsa (first), Nessa (second), Teyr (third) and Peswara (fourth) classes. As a result of the pandemic our children are taught in "POP" groups (Pendeen Opportunity Plan) for reading, writing and maths each morning where we operate a "stage not age" policy. All other curriculum areas are covered in the afternoons. We want the children to learn, be safe and enjoy their time in primary school and a visit will confirm that children love their time at Pendeen School.
We offer a rich & diverse curriculum, with clear planning over a 2 year cycle in each of the national curriculum areas. We offer a full programme of after-school activities (2 per evening) and, as part of the "POP" group system, offer early morning "POP" clubs to children needing support in Reading, Writing and Maths.
We are a proud founding member of the Truro and Penwith Academy Trust (TPAT). Our head teacher, Chris Wilson, leads on SEND for TPAT and works with our partner schools (currently 28) for one day each week.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school direct with any queries you may have.

At Pendeen School, we have three simple, memorable rules which we ask all children, staff and members of the school community to adhere to.
Follow instructions with thought and care.
Show good manners at all times.
Care for everyone and everything.
These school rules are underpinned by the belief that:
We all have a right to feel safe.
We all have a right to be treated with respect and dignity.
We all have a right to learn.
