At Pendeen School, we want our children to be equipped with the understanding and belief that they can deal with any situation, by making use of they own innate resources. Working with virtues can build a confidence that can enable children to tap into their own virtues and strengths, so they can face some of these challenges with a stronger self-belief and sense of wellbeing.
We realise that in order to achieve each child's potential, building a strong resilient character is equally as important as academic achievement. The language of virtues is at the heart of all we do at Pendeen School and is an intrinsic part of school life; from our behaviour policy to classroom management strategies, to the way that staff and pupils communicate, virtues are embedded in all that we do. As a staff, we have chosen 14 key virtues which we focus on over the year. You can find out more about each one by clicking on the links below. We look forward to welcoming you to our school so we can show you how we use the language of virtues at our school.
