As you are aware, we will be returning to school on Monday 8th March. So our final week of home learning will work slightly differently as we're collecting equipment back in - we've spoken to all of you via phone and messages/updates have been provided on Class Dojo.
Paper packs have been sent home for the week's learning for week beginning 1st March.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Hello Parents and Carers,
All learning, tasks and activities are set on Class Dojo each day.
Our aim is to make home learning as easy as possible for parents. Teyr are great at using their independence skills and have fabulous tech skills to enable them to access their learning online. During the last Lockdown, some parents asked how long to spend on learning. This is what I would expect:
Our wonderful Teyr team has put together equipment that your child can use at home which includes:
- Your laptop where you can access Class Dojo, Accelerated Reader, Google Chrome and anything else you may need.
- Your stationary pack with your equipment to use for completing any work by hand.
- Reading books that you can quiz on once you've read it
- Maths workbooks to use alongside the videos
- Your maths jotter and Magpie journal to complete any work set
Your children are all amazing and wonderful. I'm definitely going to miss seeing their smiling faces everyday, but you'll certainly be seeing mine on Dojo. If at any point they are stuck, just like they would in school, encourage your child to contact me on Class Dojo. They can send a video with their query, or write to me with a journal and I will reply directly to them. Starting this practice off early, should encourage their independence and allow them to become more confident as time goes on.
If you need anything or have any questions, you can ask me in the comments on Dojo, send me a message through Dojo or my email which is firstname.lastname@example.org. Mrs Trembath and I will be checking in with you each week via phone also.
See you soon and take care,

Times table practise:
Times tables are really important to our maths fluency. By the end of year 4, it is expected that facts up to 12x12 including division can be recalled quickly (roughly within 6 seconds!). So, with this in mind, below are many ways to practise online as well as TTRS.
Click on the links to practise your times tables online. You may find even more!
A great way to learn is through music. Clink on the links for times tables songs we practise in class (some are one's we've not used yet!):
